The Journey So Far

I was born in the summer of 1995. What have I been up to since then?

Well from 2000 until 2014, I completed my primary and secondary educations, went on a few adventures, and watched copious amounts of the Crocodile Hunter.

The journey actually begins

In 2018, I graduated from the University of Denver with a bachelor's degree in computer science. During my time at college, I was the president of the Game Development club and started working at GX2 as a technical support representative supporting hundreds of multi-national hotels with their wifi. At GX2, I fell in love with computer networking and the technical challenges that are faced with massive systems.

We have Technology.

I began to learn more .NET while working there and eventually interned with the developers.

Hello World

Once I had graduated, I got my next job as a software engineer at Suited Connector, a martech company. There, I spent my first year and a half working on a consumer-facing application. I was primarily working with ReactJS, but I also worked on the .NET backend near the end of the project. I found myself moving more and more into the backend world, and spent the next few months learning  AWS services such as Route53, EC2, and API Gateway and writing more backend services in C#. When the COVID pandemic hit, I led a consolidated team of developers to implement better internal tooling and support our business teams with web apps.

I became the team lead, leading the efforts on planning new tools, building requirements, and managing the development process. I had a great time at Suited, and my experience there became foundational to everything I've done since.

Starting Up

In April 2022, I was able to leave Suited and work full time for myself as the startup that I had co-founded got funding.

the nujib platform

With nujib, I did everything. I designed the logo, I spoke with vendors, I managed the email campaigns, I led the development team, set up all of our infrastructure on GCP and built all of our automations. The nujib project became an all-encompassing aspect of my life and the entire team worked endlessly to make it as successful as we could.

Professional Enabler

Unfortunately, nujib wasn't able to be sustainable and in July 2023, we had to move on. I joined Auror as the Integrations lead and started a new chapter of my career.
